Jan is a career artist who has completed many private and public commissions both in Australia and overseas,
She has held exhibitions in all Australian states, the UK, USA and Singapore.

Jan has always experimented with technique and materials. Collage has been a favourite - incorporating timber,
metal and found objects which are included in the paintings.

The Silk Screen process was used for a number of years. As the size of the print enlarged, physical management became impossible. At this stage Jan started painting on stretched canvas.

A move to Kingston, Tasmania in 2019, resulted in a focus on Abstracts, Landscapes and Seascapes.
The timbered areas, high cliffs and beaches, provided wonderful inspiration.

Since returning to Victoria, Jan has continued to paint in the same genres recalling the Kingston material,
as well as her local area along the Merri Creek, Victoria.

The current focus is to produce a cohesive group of paintings, through energetic brush work, texture and colour.
The aim is to visually transfer feeling and energy to the viewer, to have them
feel they are experiencing the painting and location.

Prints

There are three types of images on the Jan Neil Art website:
Paintings, Prints and Specials all are for sale.

Paintings are are on a canvas stretcher. They are Originals, one off, titled and dated on the side of the stretcher. They are featured in "Paintings" on the website, accessible through the menu bar.

Prints are available of all images on the website in limited editions of 300 total each image, canvas and paper. Paper prints are signed and numbered underneath the image. Canvas is signed on the wrap (side) of the image.

Specials: are Small Images on canvas mounted on paper and Art Cards, both are 1 off only. Once sold they will be replaced on the website.

Sizes and Prices: are listed on the print page. Sizes may be varied to suit your requirements.
